Collection Management

Collection Management allows administrators to create, edit, delete, and manage product collections in the iShop storefront. Collections are used to group products for special sections such as new arrivals, featured products, seasonal promotions, sale items, brand collections, or manually curated product groups.

A collection is different from a category. A category usually represents the main product classification, while a collection is often used for marketing, display, promotion, or custom product grouping.

New Arrivals!!!
collection name with spaces

Collection Content

The Collection Content section controls which products are included in the collection. Depending on the selected mode, administrators can manage products manually or define automated rules.

Manual Products

Manual Products allows administrators to add products directly and control the display order.

  1. Select Manual mode.
  2. Save the collection first if it is a new collection.
  3. Click Manage Products.
  4. Add products to the collection.
  5. Set display order if needed.
  6. Save the product assignment.
Products can usually be added only after the collection has been saved first.

Automated Rules

Automated Rules are used when the collection should be built automatically. Rules may be based on product category, tag, status, price, date, brand, or other available product conditions, depending on the system configuration.

Automated collections are useful for sections such as New Arrivals, Sale Items, Recently Added Products, or products matching specific rules.

The Linked Products table shows products currently assigned to the collection.

ID The internal product identifier.
Product The linked product name or product information.
Display Order Controls the product order inside the collection.
